Hey there, Long time... 2020 was crazy, right? The last week has been crazy , right? One cluster fuck after another throughout 2020 has had me down in the dumps. Fresh from several years of living with and recuperating from Lupus, Kidney Disease, Calciphylaxis, Skin Graft Surgeries, Physical Therapy, and Dialysis treatments, I felt defined by my illness. My days were spent at home recuperating or in a hospital/clinic setting recuperating, mostly alone. Couple that with a global pandemic and months of isolation, I knew I needed to do something to change my current standstill in life. For months, I brainstormed, designed, created, ruined, failed, succeeded until I felt confident enough to share my created and curated pieces of art. With that, La Casita Boutique was born! For the last 9 months, I have been hard at work creating a goods and accessories brand that celebrates my island home, St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean as a whole.
